For some installations of IN-SPIRE, the FBIS Portal Harvest is available. You will need a user name and password to utilize this particular data harvest procedure.
Follow the Basic
Steps for creating a new dataset. The following screen will display:
Enter a Dataset Name. Click Next>.
In the Full Text field, enter the text you want in a full text search of the collected documents and click Next>.
Select the maximum number of documents to be harvested. You can also select the document relevance, sort order, and posted date. Click Next>.
From the displayed Content Type, Topics, and International
Organizations lists, select one or more items to constrain your document
harvest. To
select more than one item, use Shift-click, or Ctrl-click. Click Next>.
Note: If
you do not select specific items from the lists in Steps 5 and 6, all
the items will be searched.
From the displayed Countries, Regions, and Sub-Regions lists, select one or more items to constrain your document harvest. To select more than one item, use Shift-click, or Ctrl-click. Click Next>.
When you are done, click Next>
and go to the next step, or to accept the default settings for Stopwords,
Punctuation, and Stopmajor words click Finish to start processing. The
FBIS Portal login window will display.
Caution: You must
have a valid FBIS Portal account set up to use this harvest.
Log in with your user name and password to start the portal harvest.
The Processing dialog opens, informing you that the dataset is being processed. Click OK. The dataset name displays in the list of data sets in the Dataset Editor window. You can monitor its status as it is processed by clicking the Refresh button at the top of the Dataset Editor window.
