Term Details
Term Details is intended to provide the context of a given term within the scope of the dataset. In particular, it shows information about temporal relationships between terms, which may hint at interesting connections to explore.
Accessing Term Details
Term Details can be accessed from any list of terms:
- From the Galaxy Quick View Panel, by double clicking on a term in the Term list or by right-clicking on the term and selecting "Details" from the menu;
- From the Document Viewer, by selecting a term in the content pane, right-clicking on the term, and selecting "Details" from the menu;
- From the Terms panel of the Time tool, by clicking on a term in the Term list or by right-clicking on the term and selecting "Details" from the menu.
Parts of the Term Details Window
The numbers in the following list refer to those in the image above.
- Term to which all of the themes are related.
- Timeline showing when documents in the dataset that contain the theme occurred in time.
- Theme related to the base term.
- Terms Found with This Theme. Click the list-of-terms link to expand the list and see the timeline for each term on separate lines. Within the expanded list of terms, click on an individual term to move that term to the title bar and see that term's relationship to themes over time.
- Expand/Collapse Term List. Click the triangle to toggle between expanding and collapsing the list of terms associated with that theme.
