Toolbar

The IN-SPIRE main toolbar displays when you start the program, and remains available as you work. Buttons on the main toolbar may initially display grayed out, which means the function is unavailable at that time. Buttons activate once you open a visualization.

Toolbar Menus

The IN-SPIRE main toolbar menus offer an array of options for working with the IN-SPIRE visualization and datasets. Some options on the toolbar menus may initially display grayed out, which indicates the function is unavailable at that time. Typically these functions are enabled after you make a selection in the Galaxy. The menus and their selections are

File
	Datasets	Open the Dataset Editor. Open an existing dataset, create a new dataset, or manage datasets.
	Subset from Selection	Create a dataset subset from documents you have selected within the Galaxy visualization.
	Subset from Galaxy	Create a dataset subset from a Galaxy dataset visualization after you have made adjustments to the documents in the Galaxy.
	Subset from Outliers	Create a dataset subset from a set of outliers pulled from a Galaxy dataset visualization.
	Print Selected Documents	Sends documents selected from the Galaxy visualization to your printer.
	Print Current Document	Prints the document currently displayed in the Document Viewer.
	Export Selected Documents	Export the documents selected from the dataset to a text file.
	Save Session	Save your current IN-SPIRE session, including any changes to the dataset. Your changes will be available when you open the same dataset next time. This saves information about the documents you have viewed, new groups that have been created, queries that have run, outlier shortcuts, correlation shortcuts, save/load queries, and triage networks.
	Clear Document Viewed Status	IN-SPIRE keeps track of which documents you view and marks them with an x in the Galaxy visualization. Use this menu selection to clear (reset) the viewed status of all the documents in the current dataset.
	Dataset Markings	Displays a window where you can view any security markings on documents in the dataset. If the documents do not contain markings, the window will be blank.
	Exit	Exit IN-SPIRE. You will be prompted to save any dataset changes made during your session.

Tools
	Galaxy	Display the Galaxy visualization of your current dataset. If you do not have a current dataset, select a dataset from the Dataset Editor and click Open. The dataset will display in the Galaxy view.
	ThemeView	Display the ThemeView for your dataset.
	Correlation	Create and view a Correlation graph between selected groups in your dataset.
	Document Viewer	Display the Document Viewer for your selected dataset.
	Groups	Display the Groups window and view any groups created for your dataset.
	Major Terms	Display the Major Terms IN-SPIRE uses for clustering.
	Query	Display the Query window for your selected dataset.
	Time Slicer	Display the Time Slicer window.
	Triage	Create a Triage network by designing a network of operations on the dataset to isolate documents of interest.
	Choose Colors	Choose and change the colors used when you create groups.

Viewpoints
	Manage Viewpoints	Enables you to work with the viewpoints you have created.
	Unused Terms	Enables you to view unused terms in the current viewpoint.
	Attach Viewpoint	Enables you to select and attach a viewpoint to your dataset.
	Detach Viewpoint	Enables you to detach a viewpoint from your dataset.

Translation
	Translation On	Turn on a translator if one is available. Displays the Translator Settings window so you can select the language and translation program you want to use.
	Translator Settings	Displays the Translator Settings window so you can select the language and translation program you want to use.
	Translator Utility	Enables you to translate selected text from a document with the Translator Utility window.

Help
	Show Help	Display the online help in your default browser.
	About	Displays the About IN-SPIRE window, which shows the current version and build information for the IN-SPIRE software.
