Overview

IN-SPIRE enables you to review and analyze thousands of documents simultaneously by presenting them in an interactive, visually oriented framework. Since it requires almost no advanced knowledge of the information that is being processed, IN-SPIRE is a great tool for getting your arms around information hidden in a large number of documents and determining the "lay-of-the-land" from a topical perspective. Once the "picture" is established for you information space, IN-SPIRE provides a number of query and display tools to support deeper analysis and interrogation of the information space.

With IN-SPIRE, you will be able to:

  • Understand the relationships among documents and discover unexpected associations by using the Galaxy and ThemeView.

  • View any individual document, using the Document Viewer.

  • Rapidly identify most frequently used terms in the documents using Gist and Probe.

  • Collect documents into meaningful groups, which can be compared and annotated, using the Groups tool.

  • Examine the list of major terms used for clustering, the Major Terms list.

  • Query the data set of documents with word search or by thematic content, using Queries.

  • Step through time-stamped documents by months, days or other time increment, using the Time Slicer.

  • Configure display settings for your analysis session, using the Settings window.
